Ms Kathleen Hayes is our church organist and director of our Chancel and Children’s Choir. She has been a church musician for, in her own words “more years than I care to admit.” She has worked as an organist/choir director in a number of Episcopal churches, and for many years was a paid singer at the Riverside Church in Manhattan . She purchased a home in Hawley 5 years ago, and commuted to work in New York , where she was on the faculty at the Bank Street College of Education. In addition she has done some educational consulting on the side which often has had her going to interesting places around the world – but Hawley is now her home. In January of 2007 Kathleen took over the editorship of the monthly magazine for pre-schoolers published by Highlights titled Highlights High Five.
