Hawley United Methodist Church

ADVENT KOINONIA EVENINGS
During the season of Advent, which begins November 30th, we return to a format that was introduced last year during Lent.  On Sunday evenings, we shall gather at 5:00 p.m., for evening prayer then enjoy a pot luck supper followed by a special program.

A rather unique Koinonia experience is currently in the planning stages.  We are inviting representatives from the Easter Orthodox Church, the Roman Catholic Church, the Buddhist faith, and the Jewish faith to join us on one of the Advent Sundays to share with us their respective faith story.  It will be a time to listen, to learn and to ask questions.  We shall be passing on more specifics as we get closer to the dates, but please keep these four Sunday evening’s open for an interesting learning opportunity.

KOINONIA

We shall be gathering on Sunday evenings during Advent and Lent for worship, table fellowship and learning. These Koinonia evenings will follow a slightly different format than they did initially 5:00 p.m.

Evening prayers 5:30 p.m.

Shared meal (pot luck) 6:00 p.m.

Various study groups

More information will be coming concerning Koinonia as we move closer to Advent.
